Blindfolded, handcuffed, and led by a stranger to an unfamiliar room — is not exactly how our technicians expected to spend their Thursday afternoon! But here at Caton Communications Group (CCG), we know how to keep things exciting!
That’s right — this year’s annual Christmas party kicked off with an unforgettable adventure at Breakout Games Columbia!
At CCG, we believe it’s important to strengthen relationships and celebrate our team. Every year, we host an end-of-year Christmas party to enjoy each other’s company and have some fun outside the office. For 2025, we decided to combine teamwork, problem-solving, and a little friendly competition with an escape room challenge — followed by a delicious dinner at Reckless Shepherd Brewing Company.
To keep things interesting, we pre-assigned groups before the big day.
Escape Room Adventures
- Monopoly: Get out of Jail!
- Kidnapping 2: Afraid of the Dark
- The Kidnapping
The order of escape was: The Kidnapping 2, The Kidnapping, then Monopoly. As expected, all of our techs were able to escape before time was up, a true testament to their problem-solving skills and creative minds.

The Kidnapping 2 Team were the first to escape!
Dinner at Reckless Shepherd Brewing Company
After the escape rooms, the party continued at Reckless Shepherd Brewing Company. The atmosphere was lively, the lighting and music perfect, and the food delicious. CCG employees sat together, ready to enjoy the evening, but the surprises weren’t over.
Our Vice President, Ben Libertini, surprised everyone with a presentation highlighting the year’s achievements. In his hands were four giant checks — rewards for our top performers.
The room was buzzing as each of the four employees was called to the front to receive their $1,000 check. Cheers and applause filled the room, celebrating their dedication and hard work. At CCG, we ensure that no effort goes unrecognized!
